The rumor mill stops for no one, so we got you covered. Let’s catch you up on what went down Tuesday.

The St. Louis Cardinals are currently working on a new deal with starter Adam Wainwright, says Jeff Todd of MLB Trade Rumors. A one-year deal seems to be the most likely outcome of these negotiations- mainly due to Wainwright’s age- but he is expected to make more than the $2M base salary he was guaranteed in 2019.

Speaking of St. Louis, Jeff Todd of MLB Trade Rumors also reports that the Cardinals have extended President of Baseball Operations John Mozeliak and manager Mike Schildt for three years while adding two years to GM Mike Girsch’s deal.

As per MLB.com reporter William Boor, the San Francisco Giants have snagged pitcher Rico Garcia off waivers from the Colorado Rockies. The righty, Colorado’s No. 20 prospect, made his first MLB appearance in 2019. San Francisco also claimed Los Angeles Angels infielder Kean Wong off waivers.

San Francisco continued their busy Tuesday. In addition to the two aforementioned moves, the Giants snatched pitcher Trevor Oaks off waivers from the Kansas City Royals. The Giants also designated outfielder Mike Gerber and pitcher Ricardo Pinto for assignment.
