Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that the Braves have claimed outfielder Guillermo Heredia off waivers from the Mets.

Heredia, 30, was designated for assignment last week when the Mets officially signed outfielder Kevin Pillar. The Mets had also recently signed glove-first outfielder Albert Almora Jr, pushing Heredia farther down the Mets depth chart.

Heredia went 4-for-17 with two home runs and five strikeouts in seven games for the Mets in 2020. The Mets claimed him off waivers from the Pirates during the 60-game season.
