Ronny Mauricio continued his hot streak in the Dominican Winter League on Monday night with two RBIs, bringing his season total to a league-leading 13 RBIs in just 12 games.

The 21-year-old shortstop went 1-for-5 in Tigres del Licey’s 12-4 win over Aguilas Cibaeñas. Maurico’s RBI single in the third gave the Tigres a 4-2 lead, one they wouldn’t relinquish for the remainder of the game. The Tigres are now 9-3 on the season, good for first place in the league.

Overall on the season, Maurico is slashing .353/.404/.569/.973 with five doubles, two homers and four walks. He and teammate Elly De La Cruz (Cincinnati Reds prospect) are leading the league in just about every offensive category.
