No. 3 New York prospect Ronny Mauricio continued to garner hits on Friday night, going 1-for-4 and scoring a run in a 5-3 win for the Tigres del Licey. Mauricio’s lone hit of the game came by way of a single in the seventh.

Mauricio and the Tigres will take the diamond again Saturday night to take on the Toros del Este at 7:30 p.m. EST.

Arizona Fall League

Mets prospects racked up three hits for the Salt River Rafters in a 6-5 loss to the Peoria Javelinas. Carlos Corteshighlighted the New York prospects’ performance with a RBI double in the seventh to score Wilmer Reyes right after his two-out double.

  • Brett Baty, DH: 1-for-5, 3 SO

Reyes also scored later in the ballgame as Colorado prospect Ezequiel Tovar brought home the second baseman on a sacrifice fly in the tenth. Baty seemed to struggle against Peoria pitching with three strikeouts, but he was able to hit a two-out single in the first for the Rafters’ first hit of the day.

No Mets prospects pitched during Friday afternoon’s game. The Rafters will be back in action on Saturday night against the Glendale Desert Dogs at 9:35 p.m. EST.
