Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports that the Colorado Rockies are considering corner infielder Todd Frazier to play first base for them. The Rockies are also considering Mark Reynolds for the job, per Harding.

The Mets have been weighing their options for and addition to their infield, and Frazier’s name had been thrown around with others like Eduardo Nunez, Neil Walker, and Josh Harrison.

The problem with Frazier in comparison with those other three names is that Asdrubal Cabrera would be relegated to second base duties, a position at which he is far worse defensively than third base. Now with the Rockies potential bidders for Frazier, the Mets have more to think about.

Frazier, 31, hit .213/.344/.428 with 27 home runs and 76 RBIs between the White Sox and Yankees in 2017.
