Robinson Cano exited Wednesday night’s game after the fourth inning, appearing to be dealing with a leg injury after running down the line to first base. According to the Mets booth, he left with a re-aggravated quad.

Cano, 36, returned from the 10-day injured list (quad injury) Wednesday to join the Mets for the second game out of this three-game series against the San Francisco Giants.

Adeiny Hechavarria, who has been filling in for Cano during his IL stint, entered the game in his place.

Cano was 0-for-2 in the game before grounding out in his first at-bat and grounding into a double play with bases loaded in his second.

The veteran second baseman has had a brutal start to the year batting a mere .241/.287/.371 with a .658 OPS. However, Cano told Laura Albanese of Newsday that he’s “not going to look back” in regards to his brutal first couple months in a Mets uniform prior to landing on the IL.
