The New York Mets will start playing Grapefruit League games on Saturday with split-squad matchups with the St. Louis Cardinals and Miami Marlins.

According to Tim Healey of Newsday, the Mets are planning to have both Rick Porcello and Marcus Stroman start on Saturday and then have Steven Matz start on Sunday against the St. Louis Cardinals again.

Porcello, 31, will be making his first start appearance of any kind in a Mets uniform after signing a one-year, $10 million contract this past offseason.

Stroman, 28, is entering his first spring training with the organization after being acquired from the Toronto Blue Jays before the MLB Trade Deadline last season.

The second game against the Cardinals (SNY) and the game against the Marlins (WPIX) will be aired on TV.
