According to Andy Martino of SNY, the Mets have decided that pitching coach Jeremy Hefner will return to that role for the 2021 season.

Hefner, former Mets’ pitcher, was hired as the Mets pitching coach around this time last year. It’s extremely difficult to judge Hefner on how the Mets pitching staff performed because Spring Training was cut early, a shortened season, and health protocols that made it more difficult to communicate with players.

Team president Sandy Alderson told us that Luis Rojas is returning to manage the Mets for his second season.

It was recently reported that bench coach Hensley Meulens will not return to the Mets in 2021.
