The Cincinatti Reds announced they’ve claimed first baseman/outfielder Jordan Patterson off waivers from the New York Mets.
Patterson, 26, had been claimed off waivers by the Mets from the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday. The Mets 40-man roster now sits at 38 players.

The New York Mets announced Monday that they have claimed first baseman and outfielder Jordan Patterson off waivers from the Colorado Rockies.
MLB Pipeline had Patterson, 26, ranked as Colorado’s No. 16 prospect.
Patterson was drafted by the Rockies in the fourth round of the 2013 MLB draft out of the University of South Alabama.
He debuted with Colorado in 2016 as a September call-up. That year, he appeared in 10 games for the Rockies, logged 19 plate appearances and owned a triple slash of .444/.474/.500 with two RBI.
The Alabama native spent the entirety of 2018 with the Rockies Triple-A affiliate, the Albuquerque Isotopes of the Pacific Coast League.
In 118 games, Patterson hit 26 homers, drove in 76 RBI and hit .271/.367/.525 in 480 plate appearances. He struck out 128 times and drew 42 walks.
The Mets now have 39 players on their 40-man roster.
