The New York Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 10-0 tonight at Citizens Bank Park in game one of the series.

Pitching

Jacob deGrom had his A+ stuff again. He was dominant, but ended poorly when he took a 99 MPH line drive of his right tricep. He was pulled as a precaution and X-Rays came back negative.

Final line was: 6.2 IP, 4 H, 0 BB, 9 K

The Mets are now 10-0 in games deGrom starts against the Phillies.

Erik Goeddel came in an settled things down with 1.2 scoreless innings of relief and stranded two inherited runners.

Paul Sewald pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning with two strikeouts to seal the win.

Offense

Wilmer Flores had a three-run home run in the first inning. He went 3 for 5 and fell a triple shy of the cycle.

Michael Conforto also hit a three-run home run in the seventh inning and drew a couple of walks. He was moved to fourth in the lineup.

Neil Walker went 4 for 5 with three runs scored, and looked comfortable playing third base.

Curtis Granderson added a home run late in the ninth inning as part of his two-hit game. Yoenis Cespedes also had two hits and scored twice.

The Mets have hit 51 home runs in their last 23 games in Philadelphia and have out-homered the Phillies 90-37 since 2015.
