I’m sure one of my esteemed co-bloggers will have a recap up later, and I know a couple of them were at the game, but I had to jump in and express my utter disappointment in today’s home opening 6-2 loss to the Nationals.
Hey, you can’t win them all, but this game was just a total bummer on many levels.
Clutch Hitting – The Mets were 0-10 with runners in scoring position, and 0-6 with RISP and less than two outs.
Pitching Deep – The Mets haven’t had a starting pitcher throw more than 5 innings since April 2nd, five starts in a row.
Walk On The Wild Side – The Mets pitchers dished out nine walks today, including five from Dickey a career worst.
The Mets are now mired in a three game losing streak and are hoping that Chris Capuano can play the role of stopper tomorrow night.
