According to Andy Martino of SNY, the Mets have narrowed their general managerial search down to five names: Doug Melvin, Kim Ng, Chaim Bloom, Casey Close, Brodie Van Wagenen.

The first three are well-known names at this point, but the former two are more unknown candidates, and are being said to have a real shot. So let’s go through a quick rundown on the remaining five candidates to be the next general manager of the Mets.

Doug Melvin (66)

-Has interviewed for general manager spot with the Angels, Mariners, Padres, Dodgers, Mets

Chaim Bloom (35)
