The Mets announced that they’ve optioned LHP Steven Matz, RHP Erik Goeddel, LHP Josh Edgin ans SS Wilfredo Tovar to minor league camp.
Other players reassigned to minor league camp today include pitching prospects Logan Verrett, Adam Kolarek and Chasen Bradford, catcher Kevin Plawecki, infielders Daniel Muno and Dustin Lawley, and outfielders Brandon Nimmo and Cory Vaughn.
No surprises here as the Mets trim their roster and get ready to play those who will likely contend for the Opening Day roster…
