Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reports that the agents for lefty relievers Jerry Blevins and Boone Logan are telling interested teams that each will secure at least a two-year deal, $12 million deal.

The Toronto Blue Jays are one of the teams that has interest in bringing in a lefty reliever and have shown interest in Blevins. The New York Yankees would like to add a lefty for their bullpen as well, but are seeking one that only require a low base salary or a minor league deal.

The Mets are checking in on Blevins and his agent daily according to Kevin Kiernan of the New York Postas well as representatives for Joe Smith, Sergio Romo and Fernando Salas.

According to Ben Nicholson-Smith of SportsNet, the Toronto Blue Jays are in contact with free agent reliever Jerry Blevins. The 33 year-old southpaw has also been linked to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

While he continues to search for a three-year deal, it is possible he settles for a two or even one-year deal as spring training nears. Because Sandy Alderson has addressed his aversions to signing relievers, especially veterans, to multi-year deals, Blevins would theoretically need to take a one or two-year deal in order to be a Met in 2017.

Blevins was as steady as they come in 2016, pitching to a 2.79 ERA over 73 appearances. The southpaw accumulated 42 innings while pitching to a WHIP of 1.21. He had success against both right-handed and left-handed hitters, while at times just being used against lefties.
