Per Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Los Angeles Dodgers have traded for LHP Tony Watson. According to Joel Sherman of the New York Post, The Pirates will be getting two minor leaguers in return.

Watson, 32, has appeared in 47 games this season, pitching to a 3.66 ERA, 4.69 FIP, and 1.521 WHIP. In 46.2 innings he has recorded 35 strikeouts and 14 walks while saving 10 games.

Both righties and lefties are hitting over .300 against him this season, but a change of scenery could be good for him. From 2012-2016 he was one of the best relievers in the game, pitching to a 2.40 ERA and 3.31 FIP in 345.1 innings.

The Dodgers had been making a push for Orioles closer Zach Britton, but Baltimore’s asking price was too steep it seems.
