The Home Run Derby champ is back.

Pete Alonso is set to defend his title at Dodger Stadium, according to former Mets bench coach Dave Jauss on Twitter.

In a now deleted tweet, Jauss said he was leaving Europe for Los Angeles on Sunday in order to throw to Alonso in the derby.

Alonso has won the event the last two years, putting on an absolute masterclass in crushing baseballs. His first year in the competition Alonso won with his cousin throwing to him but replaced him with Jauss and his automatic arm last year in Colorado.

Alonso will be looking to tie Ken Griffey Jr. for most Home Run Derby wins of all time with three.

He would be the first back-to-back-to-back champion in event history. A three-Pete as you will.
