Wow, Matt Cerrone did an excellent job of live blogging the Oliver Perez press conference.

It felt like you were actually there in the way he delivered his content.

Anyway, the big news other than the fact that the Oliver Perez signing was official, was that when Omar Minaya was asked about Manny Ramirez and any other additions, he was as clear as day.

“There’s not going to be any more big moves after this,” Minaya said. “We’re done after this. We’re ready to go to spring training with this team. We’ll look for some smaller pieces, but our priorities have been met. We were second in the National League in scoring runs, so offense was not a problem last year.”

1. He does not see Manny Ramirez as being a part of this team.

2. He is not going to make any more big moves.

3. He is happy with the makeup of the team and is confident they will perform well.

What’s your take on that?

Are you confident the Mets can win the division as presently constructed?

Why? Why not?

By the way, there is a short video of the press conference on our video bar.
