The Mets have an off day on Thursday, but there’s still a game being played in Philadelphia with great significance to the Mets’ chances of winning the division. The Braves enter the day one game behind the Mets for the NL East division lead after suffering a rare loss on Thursday to the Nationals.

It will be a battle of left-handers at Citizens Bank Park with Max Fried (13-6, 2.52 ERA) going for the Braves and Ranger Suarez (9-5, 3.53 ERA) starting for the Phillies.

The Braves swept the Phillies in a three-game series just last weekend to move Atlanta to 9-6 vs Philadelphia this season. The Braves started the season 23-27, but have gone an amazing 70-29 since the start of June.

Braves Lineup

Rookie sensation Michael Harris is hitting .372/.404/.628 with 14 extra-base hits and 16 RBIs over the last month. Former Mets catcher Travis d’Arnaud has six home runs in only 66 at-bats during that same time span.

Phillies Lineup

Phillies’ catcher J.T. Realmuto has been one of the best players in baseball over the past month with a .329/.404/.695 slash line, eight home runs, and 24 RBIs during that span. His 1.9 fWAR during that time is tied for third in the majors.

The game starts at 7:15 p.m. ET and can be seen on Fox.
