Mets’ outfielder Brandon Nimmo is back at camp today after losing four pounds from vomiting after an uncooked chicken incident.

Reports came out yesterday that Nimmo, 26 next month, had under cooked his chicken dinner the night prior and was up all night vomiting.

Talking to the media on Thursday, the outfielder said he lost four pounds after the incident.

“I cooked it all the way through. It was white,” Nimmo said. “I didn’t have a meat thermometer, so maybe I outta invest in one of those.”

Nimmo even said he was so proud of his chicken and sweet potato meal, he sent a picture to his wife.

“I guess he cooked some chicken and didn’t know how to cook or something,” Mets’ manager Mickey Callaway said on Wednesday. “He was throwing up all night. So we’re going to have to teach him how to cook so he doesn’t miss any more games.”

For Nimmo, the outfielder might not live down the uncooked chicken fiasco this year, but he will now turn his focus to getting back into the groove and working towards his success in 2019.
