The Washington Nationals have re-signed right-handed reeliver Brandon Kintzler to a two-year deal according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The deal is pending a physical.

Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported that Kintzler is getting a two-year deal worth $10 million. The deal also has a club option  for 2020 and incentives that could sweeten the pot for Kintzler.

Kintzler, 33, came to the Nationals in a July 31 trade last season from the Minnesota Twins and pitched in 26 innings down the stretch for them. Overall in 2017, he had a 3.03 ERA, 3.77 FIP and 1.15 WHIP despite only striking out 4.9 K/9.

The veteran will join a Nationals bullpen headed by Ryan Madson and Sean Doolittle, two more relievers that Washington picked up at the trade deadline last year.
