Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy left today’s game in the second inning after he was struck in the top of the right hand on a pitch from Detroit Tigers ace David Price.
The Mets later announced Murphy had suffered a contusion, and that he’s leaving to get precautionary X-Rays on his hand.
Murphy says it doesn’t feel serious and isn’t overly concerned.
