Mets are at .500, and just 3½ out of Wild Card

Despite, or perhaps because of the inclement weather causing two rain delays, the New York Mets have crossed the barrier and are now at 500.

“Well, we’re here, but you’ve got to stay here now,” Terry Collins said. “The accomplishment is now continuing to push forward and move above .500. We got back here. It’s been a long road and a long, uphill battle. And I’m so proud of the way those guys have hung in there. Now we’ve got to move forward. We can’t just say, ‘OK, we got here.’ We’ve got to keep moving.”

Terry Collins and this team are to be congratulated – they never, EVER give up – and it’s only June.

This is a team made up of all types of players, many of whom were in the minors when the season started – yet these players are playing like an “A” team for sure.

True Mets fans are persistent – they never stop believing, hoping, praying and cheering.

And last night in the midst of all the rain and delays the team persevered.

Kudos to all.

Let’s Go Mets!
