Good Morning, Mets fans! Tonight, the New York Mets will take on the Colorado Rockies at 8:40 p.m. on SNY. Chris Flexen will square up against Tyler Chatwood who the Mets roughed up at Citi Field last month.

Last night, the Mets lost to the Rockies on a walk-off. The Rockies made lots of soft contact in the eighth inning to tie the game late. In the bottom of the ninth, Charlie Blackmon walked to lead off the inning. The next hitter grounded to shortstop which Amed Rosario was starting to move off to cover second base on a stolen base attempt by Blackmon. Rosario waited as long as he could to cover the bag which Terry Collins and Neil Walker deemed the right move. Rosario reacted quickly enough to still get a glove on the ball which resulted in a hit. The next hitter, Nolan Arenado, hit a walk-off single to win the game for Colorado.

Neil Walker and Jay Bruce both went and talked to Rosario right after the game ended likely telling him not to let it carry over. Irony is, if Rosario covered the bag right away, then it would have been first and third with no one out. Hopefully he just shakes off this whole thing. Bruce also hit his 28th homer last night, tying him for second in the National League behind Giancarlo Stanton.
