The Mets will try to win the series against the Colorado Rockies and will send the Rafael Montero to the mound to face German Marquez. The game starts at 3:10 P.M. and will be aired on SNY.
Last night, the Mets got off to a rocky start as Chris Flexen imploded in the third inning and allowed five runs to put the Mets down 5-0 early. Flexen lasted only the three innings.
The Mets started a comeback in the fourth and fifth to make the game 5-4 which included Jay Bruce‘s 29th home run of the season. Amed Rosario also recorded his first triple on a ball a fan interfered on as well as his first Mets RBI.
They took over in the sixth though and would score six runs with a Curtis Granderson three-run homer being the highlight of the inning to give the Mets a 10-5 lead.
The Mets bullpen pitched six scoreless innings split between Chasen Bradford (who got the win), Fernando Salas, Paul Sewald, and AJ Ramos to secure the victory.
