Good morning, Mets fans! New York will take on the Nationals today in a day/night doubleheader. Tommy Milone will start game one for the Mets against Erick Fedde. Seth Lugo will return from the DL to start the second game against Tanner Roark. Game one starts at 1:35 p.m. and airs on SNY and game two begins at 8:08 p.m. and airs on ESPN.

Yesterday, the Mets lost to the Washington Nationals 9-4. Robert Gsellman lasted only four innings while allowing six runs, however only two of those were earned. Jeurys Familia also made his first outing since his return from the DL and allowed three runs in the one inning he pitched.

Wilmer Flores led the charge for the offense as he went 4-for-4 with three RBI and a homer. Jose Reyes and Kevin Plawecki each recorded hits as well.

David Wright played third base for the second consecutive day and went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in his five innings of play for Single-A St. Lucie.

Travis Taijeron was called up yesterday and went 0-for-4 in his MLB debut. Kevin McGowan will be the 26th man for tomorrow’s doubleheader after being sent down just yesterday.

After the game, the Mets optioned Robert Gsellman to Triple-A Las Vegas to make room for Seth Lugo on the roster.

Matt Harvey started for Double-A Binghamton and pitched 4 2/3 innings, while allowing five runs (three earned).
