The Mets had a tough night Tuesday as outfielder Starling Marte left the game with left quad tightness and first baseman Pete Alonso left the game after getting hit by a pitch on the right hand. However, X-Rays on his hand came back negative.
The rubber game is tonight at 9:40 p.m. Chris Bassitt will get the start against Sean Manaea and will be televised on SNY and on the radio at WCBS 880.

The Mets attended relief pitcher Trevor Rosenthal‘s showcase Tuesday, as the club looks to potentially improve its bullpen.
Buck Showalter says he's considering using Tylor Megill (right biceps tendinitis) either Friday or Saturday in Anaheim. He'll come off the injured list to pitch one of the two.
Megill returned to the clubhouse today and said his arm feels great. The SoCal native is raring to go.

Pitcher Tylor Megill should be making his return to the Mets this weekend following his stint on the IL.

Following the benches-clearing skirmish Monday between the Astros and Mariners, MLB announced it has suspended Hector Neris for 4 games and Dusty Baker for 1 game.
The Angels fired manager Joe Maddon following the team’s 12-game losing streak Tuesday. Phil Nevin has been named the interim manager.
