Good morning, Mets fans!

Late Monday night, Ken Rosenthal and Dan Hayes of The Athletic reported that the Twins are accelerating their talks with Carlos Correa. The report comes on the 19th day since Correa and the Mets agreed to a 12-year, $315 million contract, though the article states that the Mets aren’t out of the running for the star infielder. According to sources, the Twins have been in contact with Scott Boras to keep their team in the running in the event that the deal with the Mets falls apart. Minnesota previously offered Correa a 10-year, $285 million contract before he agreed to a 13-year contract with the Giants in early December.
