The Texas Rangers have an agreement with Mike Minor as per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The Mets were reportedly in touch with Minor. While Jon Morosi of MLB Network notes that he will be used as a starter in Texas, this limits teams who coveted him as a reliever.

Anthony DiComo of MLB.com believes the Mets will not get a starter, but will instead invest on the bullpen and infield.
