Good morning Mets fans!!

Today, the Mets will play two games against the Philadephia Phillies. The first game will feature a battle of  Zack/Zach’s as Zack Wheeler (2-6, 4.36 ERA) will face off against Zach Eflin (7-2, 2.97 ERA) at 4.10 p.m.

Wheeler has been on a nice run while Eflin has been enjoying the best season of his young career. Corey Oswalt (0-1, 7.94 ERA) will pitch the nightcap and he’ll face off against the first-time All-Star Aaron Nola (11-2, 2.94 ERA). Both games can be viewed on SNY.

A pitcher with a career 41-49 record and a 4.16 ERA, playing for a team that’s just over .500, had a perfect-game for six-plus innings as the Mets only sent up 27 total batters through nine innings. What else is new?

Meanwhile, on the pitching side, Chris Flexen only lasted three innings as him and quartet of relievers combined to allow nine Rays runs.
