Good morning, Mets fans!

Annie Heilbrunn of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports that Robinson Canó is no longer with the San Diego Padres due to recent struggles. Canó went 3-33 (.091) in twelve games for the Padres, including no hits in his last twenty at-bats. The roster move will be officially announced by the Padres before their game today against the Milwaukee Brewers, though he’s already been informed.

Jon Heyman previously reported that the Padres were expected to option Canó, to which he would decline and become a free agent.

Now, it is time for the morning briefing.
