The Orioles have interviewed Yankees third-base coach Luis Rojas for their managerial opening, SNY‘s Andy Martino reported on Tuesday. Rojas, 44, previously managed the Mets to a 103-119 record across the 2020 and 2021 seasons. If he doesn’t get the job, the Yankees are expected to bring him back.

Playoff Update

The Dodgers have taken a 2-0 lead in the NLCS, as they defeated the Brewers 5-1 behind a stunning performance from ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Yamamoto pitched a complete game with just a leadoff home run allowed. Teoscar Hernández and Max Muncy each swatted homers. Hernández’s moonshot marked his fourth of the postseason.

The ALCS continues today in Seattle between the Blue Jays and the Mariners. Seattle leads the series 2-0. First pitch is set for 8:08 p.m. ET. The NLCS is off until Thursday.

New York Mets owner Steve Cohen is closer to securing a casino for the Metropolitan Park development after MGM Empire City unexpectedly dropped its bid. With three bids remaining for three potential licenses, the New York State Gaming Commission will review applications and vote in December.
