Believe it or not, spring training is starting tomorrow. The Texas Rangers will face off against the Kansas City Royals at 3:05 p.m. ET and the Mariners will duel with the Padres at 3:10 p.m. ET. The Mets will open spring training on Saturday with a doubleheader: the away game is against the Astros at 1:05 PM ET and the home game is against the Marlins at 6:10 ET.

Michael Mayer reports that the Mets are tied for the most players (eight, Astros) on MLB Network’s Top 100 Right Now: #61 Starling Marte, #54 Brandon Nimmo, #51 Edwin Díaz, #45 Jeff McNeil, #31 Pete Alonso, #21 Francisco Lindor, #15 Max Scherzer, and #15 Justin Verlander.

Michael Mayer also reports that the Mets will hold an intrasquad game tomorrow at 1:10 p.m. at Clover Park. Tickets are $10 with proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club. All tickets are general admission. Tickets can only be purchased in person at the Box Office beginning Friday at 10 a.m. The gates will open at 12:30 p.m.

Pitch In For Baseball And Softball reports that their collaboration with the Amazin’ Mets Foundation to supply team kits to 35 baseball, softball, and tee-ball teams in Port St. Lucie, Florida was successful.
