Minaya spent the last four seasons as an advisor in the front office. He was GM from 2005-2010.

There will be eight games, showcase workouts, medical, performance, and educational elements. The pre-draft combine will be voluntary and free of charge for players. The Clubs will pick the players.

2005: The Mets traded minor league prospect Ian Bladergroen and a player to be named (or cash) to Boston for Gold Glover Doug Mientkiewiz.
2012: The Mets announced that John Franco, the club’s all-time leader in saves and games pitched, will be inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame. The All-Star closer, who has the second-longest tenure in franchise history behind Ed Kranepool, collected 276 of his career 424 saves, the most by any left-handed reliever in baseball history, with New York.
