Good Morning, Mets fans!

The Washington Nationals crushed the Houston Astros by a score of 12-3 in the second game of the 2019 World Series Wednesday night in Houston. Washington now boasts a 2-0 advantage in the seven-game series.

Former Met and current Nats second baseman Asdrubal Cabrera had himself a night, going 2 for 5 with 3 RBI’s and a run scored.

Washington starter Stephen Strasburg toughed it out, pitching 6 strong innings while giving up 2 earned runs on 7 hits and striking out 7.

After an off day on Thursday, the series will resume Friday night in Washington, D.C. at Nationals Park. First pitch is scheduled for 8:07 PM and the game can be found on FOX. Houston’s Zack Greinke (18-5, 2.93 ERA) will face off against Washington’s Anibal Sanchez (11-8, 3.85 ERA).
