Good morning, Mets fans!

MLB spring training games begin today! Still another day to wait until the Mets play, but the Red Sox will kick off the 2023 spring training schedule with a game against the Northeastern University Huskies at 1:05 p.m. ET. At 3 p.m., the Rangers will face the Royals and the Mariners will face the Padres. The full schedule, which of course includes Mets games, begins Saturday.

Mets outfielder Starling Marte took live batting practice on Thursday against pitcher Kodai Senga and the team seems confident that he is progressing well towards the regular season. MLB Network announced that they will produce the world television broadcasts for the upcoming World Baseball Classic that will air outside the United States. The FOX Sports channels will produce and air the tournament for viewers in the US throughout their channels and platforms.

The World Baseball Classic twitter account shared a video profiling members of Team Czech Republic and what some of the players do for a living, in a new series titled Behind The Flag.
