Jesse Rogers from ESPN reports that Major League Baseball (MLB) has proposed a hard salary cap to officials from the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) as part of the upcoming Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Starting in 2027, the salary floor for teams would be set at $171.2 million, which includes player benefits, with a ceiling of $245.3 million.
