Lavender struggled somewhat, but he has had a good May as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery. Lambert has also had a good May, but has been victimized by the home run ball, with two of the four hits he has allowed being homers.

High-A

Brooklyn Cyclones (14-33) 5, Wilmington Blue Rocks (26-21) 7

BOX SCORE

Gutierrez has struggled in 2026, with a .226 slugging percentage. John Bay, who has been the Cyclones’ most consistent hitter had a rare 0-for on the day. Hernandez continues to show that his bat is real, but had his seventh error on the season.

  • RHP Noah Hall (6.54 ERA) 3 2/3 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 5 BB, 4 K (44 of 88 pitches)

The Cyclones’ pitchers walked eight batters, which would come back to hurt them. Hall has not had any control this season, walking 32 batters in 42 innings. His lack of control also has him allowing a .287 batting average.
