The Mets on Thursday officially announced their 2023 coaching staff, led by returning manager Buck Showalter.

Per Michael Mayer of Metsmerized Online, Mets minor league coach Matt den Dekker will not be returning for the 2023 season. Den Dekker served as the Mets’ outfield/baserunning coordinator the last two seasons.

MLB Network released their top 10 center fielders right now. They have Brandon Nimmo of the Mets sitting at No. 4.

We are just over a month away from pitchers and catchers reporting to camp! Major League Baseball announced the report dates for each team on Thursday. Mets pitchers and catchers will report to Clover Park in Port St. Lucie on February 15, with the first full squad workout, including position players occurring on February 20.

A little different will be the report dates for players participating in the 2023 World Baseball Classic. Report dates are February 13 for pitchers and catchers, and February 16 for position players.

The St. Louis Cardinals announced that Joe McEwing will serve as their bench coach for the 2023 season, replacing Matt Holliday who resigned from the position. McEwing is a former Cardinals super-utility man. He has spent the last 15 years coaching in the White Sox organization, most recently as a third base coach and bench coach from 2017-2020.

The Los Angeles Dodgers announced on Thursday that they released Trevor Bauer, granting him his unconditional release.
