There is a line and it was definitely crossed.” The new Met explained later in the press conference that he understands that from here on out, he will need to “earn the respect” of his new teammates. Justin Toscano from The Record, posted a clip from the press conference with Marisnick.

Former 2017 Astro, J.D. Davis, also spoke out about the cheating scandal stating that he was “ashamed” of the situation. He was remorseful for not having said anything while he was with the team. Tim Healy of Newsday posted a video of the brief chat that Davis had with the media.

Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reported the comments that Brodie Van Wagenen had for Zack Wheeler in response to his own about the team not responding to him when it came time to decide whether or not to sign him.

Alex Rodriguez emerged as a possible suitor to bid on the New York Mets. A report from the New York Post revealed that he and Jennifer Lopez have been interested in going in with a group of buyers to purchase a major league team ever since Derek Jeter bought the Marlins.

Their minimum weekly pay raises will vary from a $110 to a $250 increase, depending on the minor league level the player is in, i.e. Single-A, Double-A, Triple-A, etc.

Mike Clevinger will undergo knee surgery to repair a partially torn meniscus. Unfortunately for the Cleveland Indians, this means that he will not be in the rotation come opening day; however, the recovery time for an injury like this wouldn’t be season-ending, so he will be able to play in 2020 but it is unknown how long he will need to recover.

On a lighter note for Cleveland, the team announced their offseason acquisition of outfielder Domingo Santana.

Former Met Rajai Davis plans to play in the Mexican Baseball League for the Acereros de Monclova as he announced on Twitter Friday. According to Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com, another former Met, Bartolo Colon, will be pitching for the same team.

Brooks Pounders, former 2019 New York Met, was picked up by the Tampa Bay Rays along with Deck McGuire on minor league deals. The two will have an invite to major league spring training, according to Marc Topkin of the the Tampa Bay Times.

Former 2017 Astro Tony Kemp, spoke out about the team’s cheating scandal. He talked to Sports Illustrated and was asked once he arrived from the minor leagues if he wanted to take part in the cheating epidemic and he said that he didn’t

The Brewers were unable to avoid an arbitration hearing with Josh Hader as he sought out for $2.3M more than what the Brewers were willing to give him. The arbitration case has concluded and the Brewers won, enabling them to pay Hader $4.1M rather than the $6.4M he wanted, according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.

The Boston Red Sox signed outfielder Kevin Pillar to a one-year $4.25M deal.
