Good morning, Mets fans!

Longtime Met Michael Conforto expects to sign with a team after the 2022 MLB Draft, according to the New York Post. The former All-Star is expected to miss all of this season after undergoing surgery for an injury he suffered during the offseason. The 29-year-old outfielder recorded a .855 OPS and 132 homers with the Mets, but injuries hampered him and he had just a .729 OPS in 2021.

Confort’s agent, Scott Boras said, “No team will sign Michael before then (the Draft),” largely because the Mets offered the qualifying offer, which ties a compensation pick to him.
