Good morning Mets fans! The New York Mets (52-68) split a doubleheader with the Philadelphia Phillies (67-54) on Thursday at Citizens Bank Park. In the first game of the doubleheader Corey Oswalt (2-2, 5.16 ERA) picked up the win thanks in part to a franchise-record 24 runs scored by the Mets. In the second game, Steven Matz (5-10, 4.60 ERA) took the loss after giving up six runs (four earned) in two innings in his first start off the disabled list.

Noah Syndergaard (8-2, 3.22 ERA) will toe the rubber tonight against Aaron Nola (13-3, 2.28 ERA) who has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season. The game is scheduled to begin at 6:05 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast on SNY and 710 WOR.
David Wright continued his rehab assignment with the St. Lucie Mets on Thursday by playing six innings at third base and going 0-for-3. Ed Delany of MMN snapped some photos of the captain.
