Good morning, Mets fans!

The Mets’ offense has come alive!

After a disappointing 10-game homestand against three west coast teams, the Mets turned things around quickly and will fly into London with a sweep in their back pocket. After scoring 14 runs in the first two games of their series against the Nationals, the Mets’ offense did not let up, scoring nine runs in a 9-1 sweep clinching victory over Washington. Newly acquired Luis Torrens went deep twice and Luis Severino diced up the Nats’ bats, going eight innings of one-run ball. For the full game breakdown, click here.

The Mets left for London after Wednesday night’s win and will have Thursday and Friday off before starting the London Series against the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday. Ranger Suárez of the Phillies is expected to go up against Sean Manaea of the Mets at 1:10 p.m. ET in Saturday’s matchup.
