Morning Briefing: Mets Look To Win Series Against Giants Today

The Mets (without Buck Showalter) were defeated by the Giants on Wednesday, 5-2. Chris Bassitt did not have his best outing, going six innings and allowing five earned runs on eight hits. The series score is currently 2-1 Mets, so the Mets can win the series with a win today against the Giants at 1:10 PM on SNY. Carlos Carrasco (0-0, 0.84 ERA) will face off against Anthony DeSclafani (0-0, 4.32 ERA) in the matinee game. Also, Buck Showalter is expected to return and manage today’s game.
