Good Morning Mets Fans. The New York Metropolitans (20-27) will wrap up their series against the Pittsburgh Pirates (23-27) tonight as they look for the series win. Matt Harvey (3-3, 5.36 ERA) will take the mound for New York and be opposed by Tyler Glasnow (2-5, 6.69 ERA).

Tonight’s game is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM ET and can be seen on ESPN as well as heard on 710 WOR.

Another day, another heartbreaking loss for the Mets. Saturday’s loss was purely deflating, especially after such a big win on Friday. The bullpen faltered yet again as the Mets will look to pick up the pieces tonight. Ken Davidoff of the NY Post wonders how many gut punches this team can take.

Addison Reed blew his second save of the season in Saturday’s extra-innings loss to the Pirates. Reed has made 26 appearances already this season, pitching to an ERA of 3.52 and a WHIP of 1.09. On this day in 1969, Bud Harrelson knocked an RBI single to catapult the Mets to a 1-0 victory in extra-innings. In the same game, Jerry Koosman would pitch ten innings while striking out 15 batters. The win would be the start of an 11-game winning streak.
