Tyler Pill impressed in his first Major League start, showing the ability to escape jams with great poise. He allowed just one run over 5.1 innings of work on six hits while walking three and striking out four. Pill took the no-decision in the team’s thrilling 5-4 extra innings victory. Asdrubal Cabrera had quite a costly error in Tuesday night’s win over the Brewers that almost seemed like a replay of Luis Castillo back in 2009. With the bases loaded and two outs, Cabrera misplayed a routine pop-up, allowing the Brewers to tie the game. Kevin Kernan of the NY Post calls on the Mets to end the Cabrera era and call up Amed Rosario.

Yoenis Cespedes resumed hitting after his latest setback as things begin to look up yet again for the cuban slugger. Mets General Manager, Sandy Alderson advised on Monday that he believed Yoenis could be back in the team’s lineup in 7-10 days. Read more from Justin Tasch in the NYDN.
