Noah Syndergaard went a season-high 7 1/3 innings and held the Cardinals to two runs (one earned), but Robert Gsellman, Jeurys Familia, and Paul Sewald all ran into trouble which helped lead to the Mets’ defeat.

2010: David Wright collected his 1,000th career hit in a Mets uniform with a fifth-inning RBI single against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Wright became the eighth Met and quickest Met in franchise history to reach that milestone.

2012: Scott Hairston hit for the cycle in the Mets’ 18-9 loss to the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Hairston became the tenth Met in franchise history and the latest to do so.
