Good morning, Mets fans!

Even though the Mets lost 6-5 after leading 5-0 in the first inning, Sunday turned out to be a pretty good day for the organization. The team was able to draft Vanderbilt pitcher Kumar Rocker, who fell to the Mets at the No.10 spot.

They also head into the All-Star break leading the NL East, the first time they’ve done so since 2007.

The Mets’ next game will be against the Pirates on Friday, once the All-Star Game festivities conclude.

First baseman Pete Alonso will compete in the Home Run Derby tonight. His first round matchup will be against Royals catcher Salvador Perez.
