Good morning Mets fans! On Wednesday afternoon, the Mets fell to the San Diego Padres by a score of 3-2 to lose the rubber game and series.

Despite coming off a dramatic comeback win on Tuesday night, the Mets were unable to hold onto an early 2-0 lead as the Padres stormed back for three unanswered runs.

After yesterday’s loss the team finished an overall discouraging road trip with a 1-5 record. They now go back to Queens three games under .500 to face the Miami Marlins for three games before hitting the road again.

With a rare off day today, game one of the series will be on Friday night. Zack Wheeler will face off against Marlins pitcher Pablo Lopez with the first pitch set for 7:10 p.m. E.T. The game will be televised on SNY and broadcasted on 880-WCBS.

On a brighter note, let’s now take a look at what else went on around the league yesterday!
