Good morning Mets fans! Yesterday Zack Wheeler dazzled at the mound and at the dish as the Mets romped the Phillies 9-0. Wheeler tossed seven scoreless innings and struck out 11 Phillies while slugging a home run and a two-run double.

Today the Mets wrap up their series against the Phillies. LHP Jason Vargas takes the mound against RHP Vince Velasquez. Vargas showed progress in his last start, allowing one run in four innings of work against the Cardinals, but still owns a 9.58 ERA through his first four appearances.
