The Mets struck out again on Monday in their front office search with it being reported that they were denied interviews with three candidates; Matt Arnold of the Brewers, Michael Girsch of the Cardinals, and Mark Shapiro of the Blue Jays.

The Houston Astros defeated the Atlanta Braves by a score of 7-2. Max Fried had a rough outing, allowing five earned runs in five innings, as the Astros were able to string together enough hits behind Jose Altuve and Michael Brantley to come out victorious.
